The Summer Party Serpentine Gallery and Swarovski Crystal Palace Co-Chairs: Zaha Hadid and Dennis Hopper Wednesday 11 July 2007 Swarovski Crystal Palace will be exhibiting Lolita designed by Ron Arad, Prived Oca by Humberto & Fernando Campana, Ball by Tom Dixon, Black + Lite by Amanda Levete, Cosmos 1 & 2 by Naoto Fukasawa and Kas & Kade by Karim Rashid in the Gallery during the evening of the Serpentine Summer Party.

Swarovski, the world’s leading manufacturer of cut crystal, unveiled the 2006 Swarovski Crystal Palace Collection at the Paris Theater, an Art Deco landmark in South Beach, during Art Basel Miami Beach. Since 2002, the Swarovski Crystal Palace collection under Nadja Swarovski’s direction, has demonstrated that the traditional chandelier can be breathtakingly reinvented. Leading designers have merged lighting with cutting edge technology, contemporary design, creativity and art using Swarovski’s entire range of crystals to create results that captivate and thrill. This year, Swarovski Crystal Palace launched its new Couture Collection of limited edition pieces as well as one-off designs (all of which are for sale, price on application). Having sponsored his S/S 2007 fashion show, Swarovski also featured showcase pieces from Hussein Chalayan’s women’s collection. Additionally, this year’s exhibition included the Prêt a Porter Collection of Swarovski Crystal Palace chandeliers: a commercial collection of smaller scale designs taken from previous collections.

25th January 2006: Runway Rocks, Swarovski's dazzlingly provocative international collection of specially commissioned hand-made, one-of-a-kind, crystal catwalk jewels was unveiled during Paris Couture, at a champagne breakfast and breathtakingly beautiful show held in the lavish surroundings of the historic Hotel Pozzo di Borgo, in Saint Germain. Creating a scintillating contrast with the antique chandeliers and gilt opulence of the Hotel Pozzo's drawing-rooms, the world's most sought-after models marched out from a chic black mirror box, wearing courageously thought-provoking, barrier-breaking crystal-encrusted couture jewels and body ornaments.
